Education Trust Fund - Siddiqui Assistance Scheme – Polytechnic Foundation Prigramme Bursary 2024

Introduction

The scheme was introduced in March 2020. It is to support deserving Muslim students, prioritising those from financially disadvantaged families, enrolled in local institutes of technical education (ITE) and polytechnics. It is to encourage these students to continue to excel in their studies.

Objective

The objective of the bursary is to support financially disadvantaged Muslim students who are pursuing full-time studies at the local ITEs and Polytechnics.

Eligibility

(A) ETF – Siddiqui National ITE Certificate (NITEC) Bursary
  1. Muslim Singapore Citizen holding a valid National Registration Identity Card (NRIC).
  2. Pursuing a full-time NITEC programme offered by any local ITE.
  3. Have a gross household per capita income (PCI) of S$750 and below.
  4. Good results for Singapore Cambridge GCE ‘N’ level examinations.

(B) ETF – Siddiqui Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) Bursary
  1. Muslim Singapore Citizen holding a valid National Registration Identity Card (NRIC).
  2. Pursuing a full-time Polytechnic Foundation Programme (PFP) offered by any local polytechnic.
  3. Have a gross household per capita income (PCI) of S$750 and below.
  4. Good results for Singapore Cambridge GCE ‘N’ level examinations.
Conditions
 
  • Applications will only be considered upon receipt of all fully completed required documents.
  • Applicant must be accepted by the local institutions mentioned above.
  • Shortlisting of candidates is based upon competition amongst the eligible applicants.
  • Interviews will be held for shortlisted candidates and being eligible for the interview does not guarantee a placement.
  • Each Bursary is applicable for one (1) Academic Year.
  • The Bursary shall be used for the recipient’s educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, living expenses and fees for other educational activities organised by the institution the recipient is enrolled in.
  • Recipient must re-apply to be considered for the Bursary in the following academic year, subject to meeting all the criteria.

  2. Recent Academic Results
  3. Letter of acceptance from Institution (if any)

  5. Income Declaration Form * For self-employed and unemployed family members. (Please download the form here: Income Declaration Form for Scholarship Bursary)
  6. Parents’ or Guardians’ Latest Payslip / Letter from Employer confirming Latest Pay / Latest CPF Contribution Statement
  7. In 150 words, share your achievements & your goals in the next 5 & 10 yrs in MS Word Format.
  8. Other supporting Documents (if any)

Application Procedure
 
  • First time applicants must create an account to be able to proceed with the application.
  • Please submit ONE bursary OR scholarship application only. We will consider your application for other eligible schemes accordingly.
  • Incomplete applications and documents will not be processed.
  • Applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria will be rejected.
