Education Trust Fund – Nomanbhoy Bursary - Polytechnic

Introduction

Introduced in September 2020, the bursary intends to support deserving Malay/Muslim students who are pursuing a full-time diploma in a course of study in emerging industries with a module or minor in entrepreneurship is preferred and enrolled in any of the local Polytechnics.

Objective

The objective of the bursary is to support financially disadvantaged Muslim students who are pursuing full-time Polytechnic diploma and enrolled in any of the local Polytechnics.

Eligibility

Malay/Muslim Singapore Citizen holding a valid National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) or permanent resident (PR) of Singapore;
Pursuing a full-time time diploma education in any five (5) local Polytechnics in a course of study in emerging industries with a module or minor in entrepreneurship is preferred.
Have a gross household per capita income (PCI) of S$750 and below;
Good academic
Not in receipt of any other bursaries

Conditions

Applications will only be considered upon receipt of all fully completed required documents.
Shortlisting of candidates is based upon competition amongst the eligible applicants and acceptance into the institution.
Each Bursary is applicable for one (1) Academic Year.
The Bursary shall be used for the recipients’ educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, living expenses and fees for other educational activities organised by the institution the Recipient is enrolled in.
Recipient must re-apply to be considered for the Bursary in the following academic year, subject to meeting all the criteria.

Please note that incomplete applications and incomplete documents will not be processed. Applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria will be rejected.
