Individual Sponsorship - Overseas Programme

The Individual Sponsorship aims to allow students as well as professionals to fullfill their educational aspirations through overseas exchange programes, summer schools and overseas conference. This is a collaborative effort towards enhancing the community’s academic opportunities and provides access to alternative pathways.

Kindly note that due to the already established endowment fund between Yayasan MENDAKI, National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) for student overseas exchange programme, all sponsorship applications from NUS and NTU students for the programme must be submitted to the NUS office and NTU Office respectively, who would then administer the sponsorships accordingly.

Eligibility

Malay/ Muslim Singapore citizen holding a valid National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) or Permanent Resident (PR) of Singapore
Pursuing full-time Degree course in any of the following institutions:
1. Singapore Management University
2. Singapore Institute of Technology
3. Singapore University of Technology and Design
4. Singapore University of Social Sciences
Age between 18-35 years of age
Gross Household Per Capita Income (PCI) of S$1500.00 and below.

Value

For student exchange programmes, a quantum of up to $3000 or 30% of total costs, whichever is lower
For study trips/conferences/assemblies, a quantum of up to $2000 or 30% of total costs, whichever is lower

Application Procedure

Applications should be submitted 6 weeks before the start of the programme via MyMENDAKI portal. First time applicants must create an account on to be able to proceed with the application.
Processing will take 4-6 weeks

Front and Back Copy of NRIC
Family Members’ Particular Form (Please download the form HERE)
Proof of Student Status / Letter of Recommendation (bearing school’s or company’s letterhead, personal signature of referee & contact details of referee)
Letter of Acceptance to Overseas Programme
Supporting documents for your estimated breakdown of the programme's cost
Income Declaration Form (Please download the form HERE)
Parents or Guardian Latest Payslip / Letter from Employer Confirming Latest CPF statement

Please note that incomplete applications and incomplete documents will not be processed. Applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria will be rejected.
