SMJFL-ETF Assistance Scheme Bursary - 2024
Introduction
The scheme was introduced in August 2019 in an effort to encourage students to continue to excel in their studies at the local institutions. It is to support the financial needs of deserving Muslim students.
Objective
To support financially disadvantaged Muslim students at the local polytechnics and universities.

Eligibility
Singapore citizens holding a valid NRIC;
Malay/Muslim;
Pursuing full-time education in Singapore in any of the following institutions:
Any of the 3 local ITEs;
Any of the 5 local Polytechnics and
Any of the 6 local Universities
Obtained good academic results for:
Singapore Cambridge GCE 'N', 'O' or 'A' level examinations or
NITEC or Higher NITEC or
Polytechnic Diploma or
International Baccalaureate Diploma;
Have a household per capita income (PCI) of S$750 and below;
Consideration will be given to applicants with medical condition or whose family members suffer from illness, and/or possess good records of active participation in co-curricular activities.
Not in receipt of any other bursaries.
Conditions
Applications will only be considered upon receipt of all fully completed required documents;
Applicant must be accepted by the local institutions mentioned in clause No.3 above;
Shortlisting of candidates is based upon competition amongst the eligible applicants;
Interviews may be held for shortlisted candidates;
Each bursary is applicable for one academic year only;
The bursary shall be used for the recipients’ educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, living expenses and fees for other educational activities organised by the institution the recipient is enrolled in;
Applicants must re-apply to be considered for the Bursary in the following academic year, subject to meeting all the criteria.

Latest Academic Results of applicant clearly showing:
Full name;
Course of study;
Year
Grades, Ranking Points & cGPA where applicable;
For first year students in ITE, Polytechnic or Universities, please provide official proof of admission into institution of study. Those who do not currently have this can and must provide later nearing the admission of school date preferably before closure of application window to be submitted via the portal;
