What is the fund?
The Malay/Muslim Community Development Fund (MMCDF) was set up in 1991 to provide funding for programmes, which supports the mission objectives of MENDAKI in making a difference to the Malay/Muslim community.
CLF had supported projects from the following categories: Community Projects, Network Programmes and Malay/Muslim Organisations (MMOs) Projects.
As of 2021, these projects are re-categorised into CLF Projects.
What the fund supports?
The fund mainly supports projects that cover at least one of the M3 Focus Areas and the 3 Cs of Character, Competency and Citizenry.
Who can apply for the fund?
The MMCDF is only eligible for:
a) Registered societies under the Registry of Societies (ROS);
b) Companies Limited by Guarantee;
c) Charitable Trusts;
d) Registered with the Singapore Centre for Social Enterprise (raiSE);
Who are the beneficiaries?
The beneficiaries must be a Malay/Muslim. The intent of MMCDF is to benefit the Malay/Muslim Community.
How and when can you apply for the fund?
The fund application will open in the month of June for 3 weeks (1 to 21 June) for programmes to commence the following year. Late applications will not be considered.
When and where can you know the application outcome?
The estimated approval timeline for applications is approximately 4 weeks from application submission. Please login to check your application status.
How much funding supports can you expect to receive?
Programmes that are piloted by MENDAKI programmes (e.g. AmPowered@ITE, AmPowered@MTS and Family Excellence Circle) that address a service gap in the community will receive 100% funding of the approved amount.
Programmes that are aligned to MENDAKI’s objective and the four (4) FAs/3Cs will receive 60% funding of the approved amount.
What are the approving criteria for the projects?
a) Project must address one or more of the 4 focus areas and 3Cs;
b) Projects that promote educational achievements or help alleviate social problems especially among those, which empower the socially disadvantaged;
c) Projects, which benefit the larger community rather than a focused target group;
d) Projects, which are in line with the national needs and catered to meet a particular need or gap within the community; or
e) Projects accompanied with a proven track record of success indicators
