Introduction
The scheme was introduced in October 2021. It is to support deserving Malay/Muslim students who are pursuing undergraduate and post-graduate studies in life sciences and biotechnology, enrolled in local autonomous universities.

To support Malay/Muslim students who are pursuing undergraduate and post-graduate studies in life sciences and biotechnology.

1. Singapore Malay/Muslim citizens holding a valid National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) or Permanent Resident (PR) of Singapore.
2. Pursuing a full-time Master's degree course offered by any of the 6 local Universities:
a. National University of Singapore (NUS)
b. Nanyang Technological University of Singapore / National Institute of Education (NTU/NIE)
c. Singapore Management University (SMU)
d. Singapore Institute of Technology (SIT)
e. Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD)
f. Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS)
3. Achieved good academic results in his/her course of study and have obtained admission to a master's degree programme.
4. If the academic results between shortlisted applicants are comparable, then those with a lower PCI shall be given priority.
5. Not in receipt of any other scholarships.
6. Maintain annual average minimum GPA/CAP score of 3.5 out of 5.0 or equivalent throughout their scholarship term.
7. Do note that recipients are required to serve a 2-year bond with MiRXES upon graduation.
Conditions
1. Applications will only be considered upon receipt of all fully completed required documents. Incomplete applications will not be considered.
2. Applicant must be a confirmed student of the local institutions mentioned above.
3. Shortlisting of candidates is based upon competition amongst the eligible applicants.
4. Being eligible does not guarantee an award.
5. Interviews may be held for shortlisted candidates and being eligible for the interview does not guarantee an award.
6. The Scholarship shall be used for the recipient’s educational expenses such as tuition fees, course materials, living expenses and fees for other educational activities organised by the institution the recipient is enrolled in.

Unless otherwise agreed by MIRXES, scholarships will be awarded to scholars undertaking the following degree courses or equivalent:

The MENDAKI-MIRXES Scholarship will be awarded to two post-graduate students who are pursuing a Master’s degree in the local autonomous universities. Each post-graduate student will receive $15,000 per year for two years.
Mandatory documents required to submit application
1. Front and Back Copy of NRIC of applicant and all family members residing in the same household.
2. Applicant’s most recent academic transcript clearly indicating their:
a. Full Name
b. Name of Course & Level
c. Subject Score or CGPA
3. Proof of student confirmation into Institution (Acceptance Letter) clearly stating:
a. Full Name
b. Name of Course and
c. Commencement Date
4. Family Members’ Particulars Form. Please download the form here: Family Members’ Particulars Form 2025.
5. Latest payslip for all employed working adults in the household or official Letter from employer indicating the latest income.
6. Latest Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore (IRAS) Notice of Assessment (NOA) for all self-employed household members.
7. Latest CPF Contribution Statement for all Unemployed adults in the household.
8. All relevant Certificate of Marriage, Death Certificate, Divorce Certificate, etc where applicable.
9. In 150 words, share your achievements & your goals in the next 5 to 10 yrs in MS Word Format.
10. Other supporting Documents if any.
Application Procedure
1. First time applicants must create an account to be able to proceed with the application.
2. Applications should be submitted via MyMENDAKI portal by clicking the Tab on the right.
3. We will be in touch with you within 6 to 8 weeks upon closure of the application window.
4. Only shortlisted applicants will be notified.
5. Yayasan MENDAKI’s decision on the outcome of all applications shall be final and not subject to further review or appeal.
