ETF - Nomanbhoy Bursary (ITE)

Introduction

The scheme was introduced in September 2020 in an effort to encourage students of different levels to continue to excel in their studies at the local schools and institutions. It is to support the financial needs of deserving Muslim students.

Objective

The Bursary intends to support deserving Muslim students from financially disadvantaged families who are enrolled in local special education schools (SPED), primary schools, Institutes of Technical Education (ITE), polytechnics and universities. It aims to encourage these students to continue excel in their studies.

Application Period

For January intake ITE students: 13 January to 3 February 2023
For April intake ITE students: 6 February to 6 March 2023 and 21 March to 10 April 2023

Eligibility Criteria

Malay/Muslim Singapore citizen holding a valid National Registration Identity Card (NRIC) or permanent resident (PR) of Singapore
Pursuing full-time education in Singapore in any Institute of Technical Education (ITE)
Have a gross household per capita income (PCI) of S$750 and below
Good academic results in his/her course of study
Not in receipt of any other bursaries

Conditions

Priority will be given to those with developmental delays or special needs.
Applicants will only be considered upon receipt of fully completed forms and relevant supporting documents.
Eligibility to apply for the bursary does not guarantee any award of the bursary.
Interviews will be held for shortlisted candidates
Each bursary is applicable for one (1) Academic Year.
The bursary shall be used for the Recipients’ educational expenses such as school fees, course materials, living expenses and fees for other educational activities organised by the institution the recipient is enrolled in.
Recipient(s) may be eligible to re-apply for the bursary in the subsequent year if he/she meets the eligibility criteria.

3) Letter of acceptance from Institution (if any)
4) Family Members' Particulars Form (Pls download the form here)
5) Income Declaration Form * For self-employed and unemployed family members. (Pls download the form here)
6) Parents or Guardian Latest Payslip / Letter from Employer Confirming Latest CPF statement
7) Short write up on your personal goals. Pls upload in MS Word format (Min. 150 words)
8) Other supporting Documents (if any)

*Incomplete applications and documents will not be processed. Please submit ONE bursary OR scholarship application only. We may consider your application for other eligible schemes.

*Applications that do not meet the eligibility criteria will be rejected.
