FA3 Mentoring Programmes


Under Focus Area 3 (FA3), the Youth Mentoring Office (YMO) oversees 6 mentoring programmes as listed below:

1 #AmPowered @ ITE
By MENDAKI
Led by MENDAKI, this 9-months programme targets full-time Malay/Muslim students across the three ITE colleges. Through mentoring and community-building programmes such as teambuilding, motivational talks, sharing sessions and developmental workshops, the programme aims to motivate mentees to stay in school and graduate with at least a NITEC qualifications.

2 #AmPowered @ Mendaki Tuition Scheme (MTS)
By MENDAKI

Led by MENDAKI, this programme targets Secondary 3 and 4 Malay/Muslim students, enrolled in MENDAKI Tuition Scheme (MTS). Through this programme, mentees are exposed to community-building activities (teambonding, motivational talks, sharing sessions) and connected to Professionals to help them envision their pathways, after secondary schools.

#AmPowered @ M3 Towns 

By MENDAKI

This programme targets secondary school students at the various M3@Towns. Mentoring serves as the first level of intervention to identify the needs of the students, beyond educational or motivational needs. Students and their families will be bridged to community resources and support network to attend to their last mile service delivery needs and equip them with self-reliance. Students will also be connected to national initiatives to build their portfolios and equip them with future ready skills.

 

 

Malay/Muslim secondary school students who live within the M3@Towns 
4 PEER Community Programme

Led by MENDAKI Club, PEER (Positive Experiences, Engaging Relationships) Community Programme targets secondary school students from M3@Tampines and M3@Woodlands. This 6-months mentoring programme incorporates elements of experiential learning and developmental relationships, facilitated by mentors. For more information, you may visit:

5 MARA Mentoring
By MENDAKI Club

Led by MENDAKI Club, MARA Mentoring is catered for undergraduates who are looking for an opportunity to join a community and build connections with professionals in growth industries such as finance and consulting, marketing, technology or sales and operations. 6 Project Pathfinder
(grounds up initiative)

This is a ground-up volunteer-led initiative targeting ITE students at ITE College East. Through this programme, students will be paired with mentors who will guide them to attain resilience and equip them with knowledge and discipline.
